dryer heat inconsistent
Model Number: 110-72832100 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
Our Kenmore gas dryer heat starts then stops. A mechanic came out and said the coils need to be replaced. He said he could replace the coil in 5 minutes but he wanted $160.00 for labor and $40.00 for the part. We couldn't afford the $200.00 so I just paid him the service fee of $35.00. I found a new coil on line which I could order for $10.50. I also have a handyman who charges a LOT less than $160.00 for 5 minutes. Is there a way to be certain that the online coil (shown below) is the right piece?
