Default dryer runs but will not dry clothes
Model Number: pyg2300aww   Brand: Maytag   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com
ignitor glows but gas valve will not open. after glowing a short time I hear a click then ignitor will shut off and process repeats. could this be the flame sensor or is their other components that may cause this problem. wash machine was banging against dryer due to uneven load. Could that caused any of this problem.

Make sure the gas to the dryer is open.

Sometimes (very seldom) the flame sensor can be bad even it shows continuity.

If there is nothing wrong then the problem can be a bad gas valve.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for MAYTAG PYG2300AWW | AppliancePartsPros.com
