My dryer stopped working one day. The thermal fuse was bad. I changed it but it will still not start. I ohm'd out the other sensors: hi-limit and cycle sensors and they are OK. I put 120 across the motor and it worked. I checked the over-temp on the motor and it has continuity. The rotary dial switch ticks as it turns when set to any dry mode. The start switch (with built in relay) will make a hum when pressed. When the rotary dial is turned to an off position the start switch clicks back off. The front door switch ohm'd OK but I jumped it also, just to be sure. Were do I go from here?

I used an electrical cord and traced the diagram. Was able to locate an open circuit in the timer control. Got a new timer and replaced it. The motor now starts. BUT - there is no gas flowing to the igniter. The igniter glows red hot the whole time the unit is on. the coils ohmed out at 1300, 600 and 1300. the flame sensor, thermal fuse and hi-limit has continuity. (Gas valves are open - both, the main like and the one in the burner assembly). Could it still be the coils?

if the igniter stays on the all the time i would say it is the flame sensor thats bad if the igniter goes on and off after a few seconds and on and off again i woul think it is the coils
