Model Number: MDG12CSAAW Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
After a drying cycle is complete the dry shuts off, but you can hear the timer (I believe) clicking away in the background. Pushing the restart button starts the dryer up again without putting in more money.

I got a laundry mat I work for that has these same dryers and I have had to replace the timer on every one of those things for this same problem. I don’t think I replaced any of them more than once but I know all have failed once. Note if you replace the timer buy the timer assembly because it is only $20 more and a whole lot easier to replace trust me. I am not saying you can’t do it but to me it is worth the extra 20 bucks. http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/clothes-dryer-repair.html
