Model Number: teds680eq2 Brand: Estate Age: 5 - 10 years
My estate dryer is making a grinding noise after I moved the "tumbler?" to remove some debris before adding clothes and now makes this grinding sound. I may have accidentally moved if off center and thus is no where it should be? I am trying to figure out how it is supposed to be so I can fix it, if it can be. In particular I think the part on the rear by the seal looks like it is off balance and or not mounted the way it should be, see pics they may be poor in qlty (cellphone)Help?

There is a good possibility the drum got dislodged of the drum support rollers (#44 on the bulkhead parts break down diagram) or the roller(s) is worn out.
You can find the complete disassembly instructions in the one of my previous posts: No Dryer Heat At the same time I would recommend to clean the dryer from the lint built up inside. - The part number for the drum support rollers is AP3098345 - Here are the break down diagrams for the Estate dryer Model TEDS680EQ2 Good luck and Happy New year. Gene.
