I have a Whirpool LER7620KQ1 that won't start. It has power to it. I also replaced the start switch thinking that was it but no luck. I can turn the timer on and hear it clicking like normal, hit the start button, nothing. Also, turning the timer all the way to zero as well as opening the door releases the start switch so I am pretty sure that the door latch is working as well. Tub moves as should and the belt appears in good shape. Any ideas what my problem might be? I am hoping to fix it myself to keep the cost low. THanks in advance for the help.

Hi

Check #7, thermal fuse in this diagram for your dryer.
Section replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL LER7620KQ1 ELECTRIC DRYER | AppliancePartsPros.com

You will need to unplug the dryer.
Remove the back of the dryer.
Locate the thermal fuse on the blower housing.
Remove the wires and check it with a ohm meter.

If it checks open or no continuity then it is bad and will need to be replaced.

Thakns for the quick response. I just contacted a local vendor and bought a fuse. Will give it a try when I get home.
