Trying to figure out where noise is coming from. The noise is a clicking sound that gets louder the longer unit is run.
Tore the unit down today but could not find anything wrong but not sure what to look for. The rollers seemed fine and blower motor rotated easily with no noise or resistance. Cleaned out everything really good, reassembled and turned it back on. The noise is still there but not as loud and gets just a little louder than before. Could not find any manual on this unit on the web.
Anyone have an idea where the noise may be coming from or what I could do to fix the issue? A manual or breakdown would be most helpful since it is not something I do everyday and not knowing where to look for the problem. When running the unit it does sound like it is coming from the rear of the machince but not positive. THe dryer is about 8 years old and says Atlantis on the control panel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Here are your parts
Model Search

Here is a service manual
http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16023110.pdf

Sorry cannot be of much help with the noise source.
Try to localize it's location, this can be difficult.
Also the frequency of it may help as the drum would click much slower than say a blower or a rear support roller.

I would check the front glides and the drum seals.
Also the seam on the drum itself.

Hi Denman,

Thanks for the help and getting me the parts & repair manual.

This is my first attempt on working on a dryer though have worked on washers before. The guides you refer too, are they the felt pads that the drum rides up against? There is not a part that is called a guide on the parts list you sent.

The dryer seems to be much better after I tore it down and cleaned everything so I am thinking of just getting some of the parts for the seals and roller on order to help get rid of the final clicking.

Thanks for your help and will let you know what I find.

No, glides not guides but that would not have been much help to you anyway as they call them a Tumbler Bearing Kit Item30 in the "Tumbler" section.
