For about a week our Whirlpool Duet electric dryer seemed llike it was taking longer than normal to dry. It is used in the garage, and we just wrote it off to cooler winter temperatures. But all at once it has just quit. When we try to start it, there is a slight "click" and then the sensing light starts to blink. It has been thoroughly vacuumed and blown-out to get rid of any residual lint, but to no avail. Please aim me in the right direction. I will keep you posted on my progress/success. Many thanks. Now we must drive almost 10 miles from our farm property to the nearest laundromat. Thanks again.

Hi,

I would unplug the dryer. Remove the front access panel below the door and look for the thermal fuse that is located on top of the blower housing.

I would then unplug the wires going to it and check it with my ohm meter.
If it's open or has no continuity it is bad and needs to be replaced.

Here is the new thermal fuse for your model dryer.
