Default Igniter glows but no flame.
Model Number: lg7686xpwo   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years   

it glows for about 15 secounds but doent ignite. i double checked the gas so i know its getting gas to the valve.
from what ive been reading it sounds like the coils might be bad. i didnt check the fuses yet thou. will post tomarow after i do.
any help is much appreciated, i just dont want to get the wrong part.

Since the dryer igniter is glowing, the fuse should be ok. I'd replace the coils. 97% bad coils / 3% bad gas valve.

- Dryer coils for your Whirlpool.

- Breakdown diagrams for Model LG7686XPW0

Also, as long as you're in there... Check the belt for cracks, replace if found (dryer belt). Vacuum any lint inside the dryer.
