Gas Dryer Runs but Heat Stops Working
Model Number: LG5726XP Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
My whirlpool gas dryer starts just fine, but after several minutes the heat
shuts off. Somtimes I think the flame lights again if I shut if off and restart it. It takes 2 hours to dry my clothes.

Most likely the problem with your dryer is a bad gas valve coils (#13 on the burner parts break down diagram).
