Need help with what options to look for to find source of the problem. My drier runs fine but does not heat up. I tried to unplug then plug back in and still no heat. The drier tumbles and sounds like the blower works.

Could the problem possibly be related to a bad thermal fuse? I took the fuse out to look at it. If measure ohms, what should a good fuse read? If blown, what will it read then?

A good thermal fuse will read closed, ohms on your meter, the same reading you would get if you simply touched your meter leads together.

A bad thermal fuse will give you no ready, just as if you did not even touch the meter leads to anything.

Remove the two leads from the heating element and ohm the element out.
You will get no ohm reading on the heating element if it's bad.
