Model Number: 11060932990 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
We have a dryer that will not run. It started by running, then shutting down. It was able to be restarted, however now it will not start at all. The heating element shows 10.5 ohms resistance through the coil and no grounding. TheThermostat, thermal cutoff, and thermal fuse all show continuity and the thermistor shows 9.6 ohms resistance. I did not check the motor as yet. Could it possibly be a bad control on the panel or a bad motor?

Sounds like the problem is a bad thermistor. The normal thermistor resistance should be about 10 Kohms at the room temperature.
- The part number for the thermistor is AP3919451 Gene.
