puting electrical cord on whirlpool for a house built before 1996
Model Number: LER3624JQ0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
i am puting an electrical cord on this dryer and it came w/ a little metal bar-i need to know what the bar is for and it has to go on there for a certain purpose such as voltage drop in this model of dryer or what exactlly it is for? please reply A.S.A.P thank you

Not sure what you have, but here is a site that has a pretty good explanation of what you need to do if it is a 3 or 4 cord wire
