Default Dryer won't heat
Model Number: nbxr453evoww   Brand: Hotpoint   Age: 5 - 10 years

dryer will tumble but won't heat. I've checked continuity at all thermal fuses, outlet supply, blower thermal , safety thermos and they all test good. Also tested the timer and heat switches and they appear good. So I finally was able to test the leads on the heating element. (no continuity) Bingo! Next problem is how do I get element out ? Having a hard time getting the drum out. I have removed the drum belt but am having a problem lifting it out do to catching on the front drum sliders...

You must take the front panel off and slide the drum out the front. The back of the drum has a bearing assembly that will need to be lifted up about an inch before it can be removed. Look for screws and clips holding the front panel on. Once the drum is out, the element will be on the back bulkhead.
