Drier stops when you release the start switch. It will run through complete cycle if you hold the start switch on.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for GE DBXR463EB1WW | AppliancePartsPros.com Note: getting tech info on GE's off the net is difficult to say the least. Do you have the wiring diagram? If not open up the control console and take a look, they like to store the diagrams in there. The diagram will show you what closes to hold the unit on when the start switch is released. Often this is one of the centrifugal switches on the motor but there are other methods used. When you hold the start switch closed do you get heat? If not then odds are high that the mechanism in the motor which closes the centrifugal switches is not working. One switch removes the motor's start winding from the circuit and may hold the unit on when the start is released. The other, switches on the heating element. Here is a good link with basic info. when instart the dryer it goes and then it stops after trying to start it again it want we have to let it sit a while before it starts again
