I can't figure out how to get the top of the dryer off so that I can replace the belt. I can put a screwdriver under the top, between the top and the side, on any corner and lift the top about 1/2 inch or so, but something seems to be stopping it from coming up. It's as if I should be lifting and sliding the top at the same time, but that doesn't work. If that's how it's done, where do I lift (front? rear?) and which direction do I slide it? Thanks for pointing me to that, it was exactly what I needed. In the course of getting at the belt, I discovered that the blower wheel is worn and should also be replaced. That's on order. When I install the new one, should I put a little lithium grease (or some other lubricant) on the shaft? The service manual makes no mention of any lubricant, unless I missed that part, but I wonder if it would help prevent wear of this plastic wheel. Thanks again for your help.
