I have a dryer that appears to have no Idler Pulley or spring tensioner for the belt. The belt appears to go around the drum and the motor and that's it... I'm trying to replace the belt but the new belt seems to be a couple of inches short even though it has the same markings as the original. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What are the "markings" on the old belt and what are the "markings" on the new belt?

Megadyne P(then some check marks) EL 1922 H8 416001301. That's on both belts.
