I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Gas dryer, model number GGW9878LW0
I ordered two start switches from Appliance Parts Pros, but they didn't fix the problem, and I am looking for what to order next.
The dryer heats and runs fine when the "push to start" button is depressed, but when released, it stops
So it makes sense that it is a bad switch, but both replacement parts did not remedy the issue.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Drew

After a lot of research, etc. it turned out to be the relay(Part Number: AP30374190 next to the start switch. If you are not sure and need your dryer, order the push to start switch and the relay. This unit has 2 relays, but they are the same part number. So buying 2 parts you can check 3 potential issues.
Hope this helps someone else, as I didn't find any useful info. myself.
Thanks, and Happy Holidays!
