Default Drive belt
Model Number: dll1550bgl   Brand: Hotpoint   Age: 5 - 10 years

I'm very new at this so please bear with me.

my drive belt broke on my Hotpoint dryer. went out and bought the belt but now my silly question is how do I put it in???. I opened the back of the dryer and also the top. But I don't know exactly how to put it around the drum. Do I also have to take the from part of the dryer off??. and if so where does the belt hook up to???

Please help!!!

Pedro

generally not too dificult a repair .. much easier to replace belt from the front... ( think it is impossible from the repair .. ) however you do need to access the belt from the back to put it around motor and tension pulley... remember to check the tension pulley to make sure it is not stuck or difficult to turn causing belt to break...
