Model Number: kgy5700go1   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 5 - 10 years   

My gas Kitchenaid would not heat up this morning. Wife used it yesterday. everything seems to work ok but no heat.

need to check / ohm out TCO's ( thermal cut outs ).. could also be the hot surface ignitor..

do you mean the termal fuze?

yes , there are usually at least two thermal cutouts.. ( BTW: can you take the kick plate / toe kick off and view the gas valve / hot surface ignitor ?

the thermal fuse is at back .if its manufactured by whirlpool its white pastic about 1+ 1/2 inches lon with 2 terminals . test for continuity wih multimeter.
