Dryer Heats for 5-10 minutes then heat shuts off
Model Number: LGN2000JQ2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
The dryer will heat up and run for anytime between 5-10 minutes, then the heat/burner will shut off, but the drum continues to turn and will blow out cold air.
We have checked continuity on the Thermal fuse it seems to have continuity. We checked the cycling thermostat, it has four leads. The top on bottom leads have continuity but the two side leads do not have continuity. Is this correct? We also check the gas valve coils but the readings were just above the specifications. Would a high resistance reading cause the flame/heat to shut off? What else could we check to resolve this issue?
