Kenmore elite dryer quit working this summer as far as the control board on top goes but light in dryer would still come on when opening door. Had appliance guy come look at it and he said I need new circuit board. Went to order part 2 weeks ago and thought I'd try it again before ordering. Needless to say it ran fine for two weeks and now I have same problem again. Any help would b greatly appreciated.

In order to provide most accurate advice we need the complete model number of the dryer and detailed description on the problem.

It is impossible to tell you what was wrong while it's working fine. If it will happen again, post the complete report on the problem. Gene.

It already has happened again. If I dry a load I have to unplug it for a while then it will dry another load. Checked for lint today and it all looked good. Please advize, it has to b something with the dryer.

Looks like the diagnostic done by the appliance guy is correct and the control board has to be replaced. - The control board Part number: AP3594243
