Maytag Dryer will not start
Model Number: MDE3706AYW Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
My dryer will not start. THe light comes on but nothing happens when you push the button to start. I have checked the breaker. All is good there. What else could be the problem?

The first thing I would do is check the thermal fuse (#6 on the diagram) for continuity.
If this fuse is open then you have to replace the high limit thermostat as well. - The part number for the thermal fuse AP4048636 - The part number for the high limit thermostat is AP4298584 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for MAYTAG MDE3706AYW | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.
