I have a whirlpool gas dryer model no. wgd55-40sq0 that is having problems with the heat. The heat works when first starting the dryer, but after about 15min. it gets cold. I have totally cleaned the lint out from the vent and made sure the air is exhausting freely but it is still getting cold after running for a while. Also it has to sit for hours before the heat works again. Could this be a bad high limit thermostat? any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks, Jeff

Is it possible that it could be the thermal fuse?
