The dryer heats just fine and drys the loads no problem. The timing dial does advance in all drying modes but continues to advance and never shuts off. The dryer will stop when the door is opened. Any thoughts?

Here are your parts

Here is a wiring diagram

Could be that timer contacts BU/BK are welded together so they never open.

To check you will need a meter.
Unplug the unit.
Turn the dial to Off
Remove the blue wire from the timer and measure across the contacts.
Should be an open (infinity ohms).
If welded together you will get 0 ohms

Sometimes you can clean the contacts and get a few more months out of the timer but it is best to just replace it.
