Default need to find out how to get the motor out
Model Number: 11086870800   Brand: Kenmore   Age: More than 10 years

When the dryer is turned on the drum doesn't move and the motor humms. After trying for a while the motor overheats and wont do anything. After a while the motor will try to run again. Should I replace the motor and if so how do I get it out.

No doubt the problem is a bad motor.

The instructions how to get access to the motor you can find in one of my previous posts: Instructions for changing coils

- The part number for the motor AP3094245

Gene.
