Model Number: LGR7646EQ3 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
MY dryer is making a high screeching noise and it's coming from the motor. Do I need to replace the motor or can I get a replacement part to fix it?

It is unlikely to be the motor, at least until you have ruled out everything else.
Unplug the unit. Take off the top by taking out the lint screen and removing the two screws that you find there. Then insert a screw driver or putty knife under each side of the front and "pop" up the top. You should be able to turn the drum by hand and hear the problem, which is probably in your drum rollers. Good luck and let us know what you find.
