dreyer start button
Model Number: ldg4914aae Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
dryer will run and do fine for about 45 minutes, then shut off. Then have to wait for about 20 to 30 minutes before it will start again. Can smell a burning smell around the start button.

Hi Mydeuce
I would replace the start switch, since it is so inexpensive Replacement parts for MAYTAG LDG4914AAE | AppliancePartsPros.com but it sounds more likely you are having a motor problem and will have to replace it. Anyway, try the start switch change out and let us know how it turns out.
