I have ordered part number AP2805459 which is a plastic hook-shaped latch connected to the dryer door and connects to the main unit when the door is closed. I am not sure how to remove the broken latch and replace with the new part. There does not seem to be easy access or a way to take apart the door to remove/install this part. Any idea on how to accomplish? Thanks.

You can find a good schematic of the door here. (Click on "door assembly" in the left menu pane if it doesn't bring you there automatically.) You will basically need to pry off the outer door cover - mine comes off easy as it seems the previous owners got some repairs done or did it themselves and never really put the door back quite right, but you may need to get a flat head screwdriver and shimmy it back & forth between the inner door part and the outer door. EDIT: one more thing - once you get that outer door cover off, there are two screws you'll have to take out to remove the door latch...they're funky star-shaped screws, so if you don't have one already you may need to go buy a bit for it.
