Model Number: dpsr473EWOWW Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
My dryer squeaks very badly, I have noticed that the drum slides aree worn and one is missing. Is there anything else I need to replace or be aware of to fix this squeaking?
It seems to have a lot of play in the drum at the front door, because things are getting caught in there. Is this also caused by the slides? Thanks Losing my mind Ads By Google Related Models |

Here are your parts
Model Search Probably best to give the unit an overhaul. My dryer squeaks very badly, I have noticed that the drum slides aree worn and one is missing. Is there anything else I need to replace or be aware of to fix this squeaking? Often on the units it is the rear support bearing that causes bad squeaking. Also check the idler wheel for wear and slop. Other things to check are the motor bearings, the felts, the belt and any other part which moves or has a moving part resting on it. Replace as necessary. Give the interior a good cleaning including the blower. It seems to have a lot of play in the drum at the front door, because things are getting caught in there. Is this also caused by the slides? Could be but may also be the drum bearing is worn, see the parts breakdown. While you are at it clean and check your vent system.
