Model Number: DSXH43GA Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
My gas dryer has an ignition problem. The dryer will start every time, and ignite the burner. However, after a couple of minutes of running it will stop burning, and attempt to re-light after a minute or two. It will attempt to light every minute or so until it finally decides to re-light. (maybe 4 or 5 attempts, before it finally re-lights.)

If it lights one time I wouldn’t think that the igniter is bad or the gas supply. the first thing I would look at is the coils on the gas valve. When it stops working does the igniter glow and then turn off? If so the coils should release gas at the same time as the igniter cuts off. Gas Dryer Repair Guide
