Default kenmore dryer with no heat
Model Number: 11068712894   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

I have a kenmore 70 series dryer, the dryer cycles fine in all drying modes but it is cold air. I thought at that point I would put in new elements, it still doesn't heat. I checked the resistor and it had the same resistace as the new one. The high limit switch has continuity acroos it. The fuse link in the lent tube has continuity across it, the running heat switch has four wires on it, the power wires have continuity acrooss it, the purple wires in the center do not have continuity. There is one more heater at the top of the element cage and it has continuity as well. Is there a thermo heater in the motor that could cause it, or the four wire thermo switch. Thank you in advance for your help.

The first thing I would check if 240V is coming to the dryer.
The motor needs just 120V but the heat element needs 240V. Check the circuit breakers and the power outlet.

Gene.
