Dryer has power, light inside unit comes on, but will not start when start button is pushed. I believe it is the door switch unit, not sure? I could use some help, also need directions on replacing door switch unit.

Hi Mike,

The first thing I would do is check the thermal fuse (#6 on the diagram) for continuity and replace if it's open. By the manufacturer instructions it has to be replaced together with the cycling thermostat (#7). Also make sure the exhaust line is clean all the way to the outlet and the air ducts inside the dryer are clean as well as the blower housing.

- The part number for the thermal fuse is AP3133489

- The part number for the cycling thermostat is AP3131939

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KEYS777EQ0 | AppliancePartsPros.com
