HI.. I have a natural gas dryer that stopped heating up just recently. It has not been used very much and sat in a garage for many years. I took it apart and replaced the belt and cleaned it out. It just recently stopped heating. If I turn the heat settings knob to no heat the dryer stops making a clicking noise. When turned to low or normal heat the clicking noise returns. The clicking noise is probably the automatic igniter but I am guessing the gas valve is no longer functioning. I have replaced the dryer with my old electric dryer for now. Is there a way to diagnose this problem with no gas hooked up to the dryer? If so how may I go about it?
