Unhappy Dryer runs but doesn't heat
Model Number: 41792052101   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

My dryer runs but does not heat up to dry clothes in any of the settings. We cleaned out the hose of lint and it still doesn't heat/dry. What could be the problem?

It does not heat or it takes very long time to dry? Is it cold or warm inside the dryer at the end of the cycle? Were the dryer is located and how far from the dryer is the vent outlet?
Gene.

Check your heating element and thermostats. Unplug unit and pull one wire off the element and therostats. Check for continuity. The part with no continunity is bad. Replace and be back in business. You can find the part you need right here at this forum. Best of Luck to you.

I'll be glad to help you with your dryer but I need more information. As soon you'll provide it I'll be able to tell you what's wrong.

It heats up when there is no wet laundry inside of it. But when I have a load in it it does not seem to heat up and is cold inside at the end of the cycle. It is really close to the vent. Thanks for your help.

The problem with your dryer are a bad coils on the gas valve. The part number for the new coils is AP2150379
To get access to the coils you have to remove the front panel.
Good luck.
Gene.
