First disconnect power from dryer then remove the top by removing the screws inside the door pointing up. Then remove then remove the screws inside the case pointing forward. Once done the front should lean forward and lift up and out of the way. There are five bearings that commonly cause these dryers to squeal. Four slides on the front that the drum glides on and one sleeve bearing on the drum shaft on the back of the drum. To get to the sleeve bearing remove the drum by unhooking the belt and sliding the drum forward enough to replace the bearing. for more on this visit GE Dryer Noisy Repair Guide
