Model Number: LEC7848DZ1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Electric dryer got to where it barely heats so had to run through several cycles to dry. I bought new heating element and installed....same darn thing....votage meter said only 110 volts going to element but 220 volts going to dryer...vent is open and clean by the way, so what next?? Thermostat?? Thermal fuse was closed too so I asssume working. Thanks for your help!!

Is that 220V at the receptacle or at the terminals where the appliance cord is connected on the back of the dryer?? One of these terminals could've burned opening the circuit...
