Can anyone help me the wires that connect to the door switch I had to replace the Heating Element and when I took off the door there were some wires already disconnected. I know that the black connects to the red by way of the quick disconnect and one of the white wires go to the front of the switch but there is another white wire and also a black wire with yellow stripe through it. Please help all repairs complete just do not want to hook up wrong.

Here is wiring diagram for a newer GE as an example
http://www.applianceaid.com/new...s/ge-newelec-diagram.JPG

GE is a pain to get any tech info online. They like to keep their techs busy.
If you do not have the wiring diagram then take a look in the control console. They like to put them in there.

One white is Neutral goes to Common
Other white is the light goes to Normally Closed
The black/yellow is motor power goes to the Normally Open.

What concerns me is connecting a Red to a Black these colors are usually L1 and L2 respectively. So I would double check this (look for a stripe) or confirm it on the wiring diagram.
Then again it is GE so who knows?
