My Maytag Atlantis gas dryer, model # MDG7400AWW heats and turns, but the timer doesn't advance in any mode. I replaced the timer today, and it still doesn't advance.

The humidity sensor does sense humidity. The dryer still runs manually, heat settings work, but timer doesn't advance. We can shut it off manually by pushing on the knob.

Also, when I bought the timer, two parts supply houses told me I needed a new harness as well. I have the harness, but it is a pain to install. I will have to run wires to all parts of the dryer.

Any chance I can just run 1 jumper to the offending terminal? I don't know what electrical part might not be working, by the way, just that when I bought the timer I was told I needed the harness as well.

I have a multi-meter, if necessary.

Thanks in advance.
