Here's a drawing of the cabinet of yout Performa. Part #11 is a front clip. Thee ae two of them. They secure the bottom of the front panel to the cabinet. Pop the panel out from the clips and it will pivot up and away from the cabinet. This will wxpose the motor rithe up in the front left of the machine.
