When I turn the knob to my dryer all I hear is a buzzz but the dryer won't turn on? Any thoughts?

Is the buzz cominng from under the drum.
May be the motor trying to start.

This may take two people.
Open the door
Rotate the drum, it should rotate fairly easily
If not the drum is jammed on something.
If OK
Hold the door interlock switch closed
Start the dryer and while it is buzzing, turn the drum in the correct direction
Watch your knuckles as it may start up
If it starts rotating probably your motor is shot
