Model Number: FDEG48GFS0 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
The back of my dryer get's so hot that it is melting ahole in the back of the dryer and get's the wall too hot. It kicks the braker and I am afraid to use it. I am a single mother with 4 kids and would appreciate any help as to how to sole this problem.

Remove your vent on the back and check for a clogged vent tube either in the connecting hose and or the tube coming from the dryer.
Run the dryer for 1 cycle without the vent connected and see if it still gets too hot. If so, a bad limit switch could be causing your problem. There should be a thermal fuse that will blow if the dryer is too hot. You may have had service at some point and the fuse was bypassed. NOT GOOD. |
