I have had to replace the belt and motor on my maytag. The pully from the motor disintigrated and caused the belt to break. After I put everything back together with a new belt and motor, the dryer still doesnt work. I get a gurgling noise in the control nob but the drum does not turn. Please help!

Does it do the same thing in all the drying cycles? Just for giggles, I woulld test the outlet for 240VAC. Sometimes one of sides of the double breaker can trip, leaving only half the voltage to try to start the dryer.
I would suspect the timer, if you're hearing that kind of noise around the Knob. If there is something causing the tumbler to sieze, this will cause the motor to hum as it tries to start, but it will often trip the breaker.
