Dryer would not start until drum rotated by hand. Replaced motor, dryer was used for 3 loads and now will not start. Could I have a bad motor? How do I check the motor? I have checked the door switch with a meter and it operates fine. When I press the start button you can hear the timer in the dial/selector but nothing else happens.

Hello Raymond. Test the thermal fuse and see if it is bad. It should read closed for continuity. If it is open, replace the fuse and check the vent for clogs or kinks. If it is good, make sure the motor does not have any loose wires or connections. Hope this helps. Part number: AP4037790
