Dryer hums but doesn't start
Model Number: FDG216RBS1 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
My dry won't start up. Was working fine, no indication of anything wrong, then, after taking one shirt out to hang up, dryer was working perfectly, when I closed the door and pushed start button, just hummed. Hummed as long as button was pushed, then nothing. Suspect main drive motor is hung up, have pulled access door and spun motor by hand, seems to be free. Still same symptom. Can you help? Anyone know how to get to motor? ie what part of skin has to come off?
