Question Dryer keeps running
Brand: Maytag   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

My dryer keeps running all the time. Even if you turn the dial to off after a few minutes it will continue on to the next dryer cycle, so the dial is just constantly going. The dryer still runs when you open the door, also the light doesn't work anymore. Which just makes sense that the dryer doesn't know the door is open. The second set of issues, definitely just seems like the dryer door switch, but could that cause it to run all the time? Please help...

A model number would be helpful.

Sounds like you need a new timer.
The timer has a set of contacts that should open at off to kill power to the motor.
