I replaced a broken blower wheel and now the dryer stops before the end of the cycle. It does not stop if set to air fluff (no heat). It restarts immediately after shutting off and may continue running until the timer times out. I have checked the vent and vacuumed out the unit.
Thank you,
Ken

Thank you,
Ken Ken, This ones going to be tough, without a model number. But, older Maytag dryers did not have thermal fuses,or circuits that would shut the motor off in an overheat situation. But it doesn't sound like you have a overheating motor, either, it usually takes 20 to 30 minutes for the overload switch in the motor to reset. When you replaced the blower wheel, did you notice a large lint build up on the motor casing, and are you sure you re installed the belt correctly ? A suggestion, could you take a couple of pictures of the dryer, and attach them to a response, we have a pretty knowledgable team, and we may be able to direct you better. Good Luck, :) :) :)
