WHEN YOU PUSH THE START BUTTON - DRYER STARTS - WHEN YOU LET OFF - THE DRYER STOPS - WHEN YOU HOLD START BUTTON ON THERE IS HEAT - 1 OUT OF 5O TIMES THE DRYER WILL STAY ON AND WILL WORK RIGHT WHEN START BUTTON IS PUSHED

Here is a tech sheet

Take a look at the tech sheet wiring diagram lower left corner, you will see the PTS (Push To Start) switch in parallel with it is the MOTOR RELAY contacts.
Perhaps the relay is shot.

Note the board senses when the Push To Start is activated and it closes the MOTOR RELAY.
