Would it stop if you open the door?

If it would, would it start by itself as soon as you close the door?

if you are asking about the ticking while not in use then no, the opening and closing of the door has no effect on it it just ticks on and on as long as it is plugged in, however if you start it and open the door it turns off the cycle but still ticks
