Gas dryer runs and heats, but then will just stop. A couple minutes later it will start automatically. I had trouble in the past with the drum coming loose and ran like that for a little while before I resecured it. I'm assuming the motor might be going. Note: it will also run without stopping with no cloths in it.

Gene, When it stops and you try to start it right away, it will not start for another minute or two....

Sounds like the motor has gone bad.
